Terms of Use

Last updated 17 September 2026.

1. Educational use only

Critical Systems Simulator (the “Platform”) is provided strictly for education and training. All waveforms, values, and calculations are synthesized physiologic approximations and are not patient-derived. The Platform is not a medical device and must not be used as a clinical decision-making tool, or for the diagnosis, monitoring, or treatment of any patient. It is not a substitute for professional clinical judgment, and no physician–patient relationship is created by its use.

2. Ownership & intellectual property

The Platform, including its design, text, simulation models, source code, and all related content, is the exclusive property of Dr. Christopher Hartley and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. © 2026 Dr. Christopher Hartley. All rights reserved.

3. Permitted use

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for your own education. You may not:

  • copy, reproduce, republish, or redistribute any part of the Platform or its code;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or extract its source, models, or content to build or train a competing product;
  • sell, sublicense, rent, or otherwise commercially exploit the Platform without prior written permission;
  • share your account credentials or access with others.

4. Accounts

Access requires an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Access may be suspended or terminated for any breach of these Terms.

5. No warranty & limitation of liability

The Platform is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the creator accepts no liability for any loss, injury, or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the Platform.

6. Changes

These Terms may be updated from time to time; continued use constitutes acceptance of the current Terms.
